This is Jo. She has been volunteering at Millbrook for 10 years now and she is really dedicated to improving the lives of the dogs at Millbrook. Jo started volunteering when she was still working but since retiring 7 years ago she is able to give more regular help to the dogs - she comes to Millbrook to walk dogs every Tuesday and Thursday. No matter the weather Jo comes in to make sure the dogs get a nice walk or a good run offlead.
Jo loves working with the dogs and she also gets involved with puppy training and socialisation having attended our puppy training course for volunteers - this is so important for puppies as we like to send them to their new homes with as much experience of life as possible.
As well as walking dogs she also fosters dogs for us, in fact she has had three 'failed fosterers' as she couldn't part with them and decided to adopt them herself!
You may have met Jo at one of our big fundraising days as she is always involved in registering dogs for our Fun Dog Show in May and the smaller dog show on Gala Day in September.
Millbrook wouldn't be the same without Jo as part of our team.
