General information

Missie is looking for a new home by herself, she has been signed over by her previous owner as she had too many cats to cope with and their coats were becoming so matted because there wasn't enough time to groom them all.

She has been to the vets to have her matted fur clipped off so is looking really good now.

Missie can be a bit timid initially but is ever so sweet once he knows you and loves being the centre of attention. She loves cuddles and enjoys being groomed.

We are looking for a new owner who is serious about taking on a Persian cat and the responsibilities that come with that. Not only does her coat need a considerable amount of time spent on every day, her face, eyes, mouth/chin and ears, all need washing daily. New owners should know to expect potential health issues as well Persians are a brachycephalic breed of cat (flat-faced) and this can often mean breathing difficulties can occur, skin infections on their faces and runny eyes amongst others.

Missie seems more prone to eye problems, her eyes leak more than the others from the same home and we have found that cleaning them to often makes them worse, so her new owners will need to talk this through with us to find out her needs in regard to this.

If you are interested in adopting Missie, please ask the staff and we can have a chat about her. She has always lived in a secured garden so we would like a similar environment for her.

Missie can live with children of secondary school age, possibly younger and can also live with cat-friendly dogs. She will prefer being the only cat in her new home.

If you could offer this animal a suitable home, then please visit Millbrook to find out more.
