Zach was taken to Putney hospital after being hit by a car. Outragiously, the owners ran away and abandoned him with a broken leg in the road!
Zach is a very special boy that has been in a foster home for 12 weeks while his leg was healing. Zach loves to lean against people and have a snuggle. He is such an affectionate lad who loves to be with people and dogs.
Zach has been extremely patient while his leg was kept in a metal fixator. The metal fixator was used to hold the fractures back in place. After 12 weeks he has had them removed and is loving to have his leg back again. In the future he would love to run around like crazy on a walk! Then spend the afternoon cuddled up to you on the sofa or upside down on his own sofa (as shown in picture)
Zach will need to be kept on lead while he builds up his leg muscle again. Zach walks really well on his leg now and you wouldn't have know it had been broken.
Zach travels well in the car and is fully housetrained. Zach can be left 3-4 hours in the kitchen with no food left on any counters. If any food is left out he will steal it, he has even eaten a couple of tub's of margerine!
Zach loves to play with other dogs or my foster kitten. Unfortunately, to start with he can only live with a calm dog that doesn't encourage play. Once it has completely healed and he can run around like a loon again, he would love a friend or three to play with.
Zach can live with young children that don't mind a big dog!
