Jobs and volunteering

Jobs at Millbrook do not come up very often, but please keep an eye on the main RSPCA website as all vacancies appear on there.

We have many volunteers at Millbrook and rely greatly on their hard work and commitment to assist the staff to care for our animals.

We have just finished our last intake of volunteers. Due to the rebuild of our recption building over the past few months the next intake of volunteers will not be until later on this year. Once our meeting room is avaliable again we will advertise for more applications.

Volunteering at Millbrook is very popular, and so many people apply to do so throughout the year - please only apply if you are serious about volunteering your time. We put a lot of time and effort into taking on new volunteers and are sometimes let down by people not attending the workshops, which takes spaces away from those who are serious about joining our wonderful team of volunteers. Please be patient with us, as it takes a while to go through all the paperwork, and then to get new volunteers in.

Volunteers dog walking

Once you have completed these sessions you will be free to volunteer at the centre between 9.30am and 4pm for dog walking and 8.30am and 5pm for cattery and small animals. No volunteers can attend in the evenings.

All volunteers must be 18 years or over and due to health and safety no volunteers are allowed to work with the centres horses.
