Six Weeks old

Sprout, Jingle Belle, Santa's Little Helper and Mince Pie are just over 6 weeks old now, and will soon be learning how to be without their mum - next week they will be split from Smokie, gradually over a period of a week, and then they will be up for homing!!!!

The kittens are very independant now - tearing up an down the steps, in and out of the cat flap, trying to escape each time we go in to play with them or feed them

They rarely feed from Smokie now, and love their biscuits and chicken!!! They are a bit fussy like their Mum - but they have started eating kitten meat too

The next week is their biggest week so far - they will be having their 1st vaccinations and they will be split from Smokie

We start off by putting Smokie in her rest pen for a couple of hours a morning, then after a few of days we leave them apart for the day and put Smokie back in for the night - after a week Smokie stays in her own pen overnight and the kittens are by themselves

We've got a feeling Smokie will enjoy a bit of peace and quiet - she tries at every opportunity to get away from them at the moment!!!!!
