About me

Meet Curly; she came from a multicat household and was found living in horrendous conditions, hiding amongst mountains of empty bottles and sadly other deceased animals. Her start to life has been one of the worst imaginable but this is where her new story begins.

As you can imagine she hasn't had the appropriate handling or human interaction that all pet cats should have. This means she is not used to people handling her, however she is happy in our company and is very slowly learning that we are ok to have around. We have no history on her and her friends so we can only assume that they have never even seen the outside world until coming into our cattery.

When Curly came to us all of these cats from this home were emaciated, some of them under 2kg, their coats were matted and filthy, they were dehydrated and they were just generally not in good shape.

After a few months of medication, appropriate diets and lots of TLC, Curly is ready to find her forever home. She is currently living with two other cats, it would be lovely for them to stay in this group, but we understand that this is a big ask of most people, so we will be happy for Curly to live one of her friends, or by herself.

Curly's fresh new life is waiting just round the corner- we just know it. But she really needs quite a specific home. She will find it tricky to adjust to new surroundings and new people, so the home she is looking for is a quiet one with a dedicated separate room to settle in first before venturing off into the rest of the house. A slow introduction to things is needed, including people, therefore having knowledge and experience with cats is essential. Curly needs understanding, patience and time to adapt and learn that there is kindness and love there, ready and waiting.

Her new home will need to be low footfall, with access to the outside world eventually, lots of space and options of places to hide. Any children in the home will need to be of older secondary school age, and she is not to live with other pets. A hands off approach is exactly what this group of cats need, and hopefully one day they will learn to trust people, and let their true personalites shine through.
