Hello there, future family! My name is Darcy. I am a fun, joyful girl with a big heart and lots of energy to burn. If you are looking for an active companion to share your life with, I might just be your perfect match!

I am a total social butterfly. I have made so many friends here at the centre—both human and canine—and I bring a smile to everyone's face the moment they see me. I absolutely love going on walks and socializing with dogs of all shapes and sizes.

While I have a past that includes some cruelty, which makes me a little nervous around new people at first, please don't let that fool you. Once we build that special bond, I am a bouncy, highly energetic, and fiercely loyal companion. The love and friendship you will get from me is truly like no other!

🏡 My Perfect Forever Home

Because of my history, I am looking for a specific type of environment where I can truly thrive:

An Only Pet Household: While I love walking with other dogs and would excel having visiting doggy friends, I really prefer my own space at home and need to be the only resident dog.

The Right Family: I can happily live with children of secondary school age, provided we have positive, gentle introductions.

A Secure Yard: I have plenty of energy to burn, so I will need a good-sized garden with 6ft fencing where I can zoom around safely.

A Quiet, Peaceful Life: Busy, built-up places like cafes or crowded streets are too overwhelming for me right now. I need a quiet lifestyle focused on local adventures and relaxing at home with the people I love.

🛋️ My Good Habits & Routines

A Perfect Houseguest: I am not destructive at all! I love having a luxurious soft bed, plenty of toys, and a good hard chew to keep me happily occupied during the day.

Overnight Manners: I am very clean overnight, though I will just need a quick, patient refresher course on house training when I first move in.

Travel: I travel okay in the car, but I can get a little worried. My rescuers suggest taking things slow, keeping our walks local for the first few months until I feel completely safe and comfortable.
