Rocky is a genuinely sweet and fun-loving boy who brings a lot of joy wherever he goes. Because he didn't get to explore the great outdoors much when he was a puppy, the big wide world can still feel a little overwhelming to him. New surroundings and sudden sounds can make him nervous, but he is incredibly resilient. Every single day here at the centre, he is learning, growing, and showing us just how brave he can be! He is also learning to discover his love for playing with toys. Rocky will need his own private and secure garden to be able to enjoy this in. Rocky will also need a refresher on house training and car travel.

🐕 Social Life & Play Style

If there is one thing Rocky absolutely loves, it’s other dogs! He is highly sociable and thrives around canine companions.

Note on Play Style: Rocky likes his playtime like he likes his life—full of energy! His play style can be a bit rough and boisterous, so he would do best living with another dog who matches his high energy.

Rocky is looking for a specific type of home to help him truly blossom:

Quiet Environment: A peaceful home away from the hustle and bustle of busy city streets or loud environments so he won't be overloaded with too many new stimuli too quickly. Because he can be nervous to sounds, Rocky will also need a home with older secondary age children.

Experienced Owners: We are looking for adopters who have prior experience with nervous or undersocialized dogs. Rocky needs patient guides who know how to read his body language and gently show him that the world isn't so scary.

Rocky has so much potential and an endless amount of love to give. With a patient family he is going to make an absolutely spectacular companion.
