About me

Muffin is a very sweet chestnut Welsh pony, approximately 2 years old and standing at about 11hh. On arrival at Millbrook, Muffin needed time to recover from the stress of her change in environment and was initially wary of people. She had never worn a headcollar before and was very nervous of any attempt to get close to her.

The team here implemented a hands-off system to move Muffin and her friend from the field into a dry lot area by the barn so she could get used to being around people and the daily happenings of a yard. Over time, she became less worried and much more curious. We have gradually introduced some headcollar training and, while she is still a little wary of it at times, Muffin is becoming increasingly confident with being caught and led.

Muffin can now be touched all over on both sides and is learning to pick up her feet. We believe her confidence will continue to grow with a consistant routine and with a calm and experienced hander. She is learning to enjoy human company likes to come up and ask for attention.

Muffin is microchipped, passported and up to date with worming and vaccinations.

Her adoption fee is £250.
