About me

Sam is a very sweet boy and loves everyone he meets, Sam is a typical young dog and can be very playful. Sam is a big boy and he can be strong on the lead so he is going to need a home that can physically hold him and exercise him.

Sam loves to play with toys and loves nothing more that walking around with his favourite squeaky toy off lead. Sam is very friendly with other dogs and walks with them regularly. Due to him recovering from his leg operation he will need to be an only dog but he will need his dog socialisation continued out on walks.

Sam had to have surgery on his front R leg after being involved in an accident. Sam has now recovered from his surgery. There is a chance that in the future that Sam may have arthritis in that leg, as Sam has had surgery on his leg the leg will not be covered by insurance so new owners will need to be financially able to cover ongoing costs relating to his leg. Sam is an active dog so he will need a home that can provide him with lots of mental stimulation to help compensate for his restricted physical exercise.

Sam is looking for an ADULT ONLY home that has experience with young dogs, ideally a home that has had dogs that have been unsure of handling. Due to Sam's leg injury he does need to be an only dog. Sam cannot live with cats.

Sam can be nervous of handling and going to the vets. We have worked on his handling issues and he has improved, but he will need a home that will be patient, gentle, calm and understanding with him. Sam will need some work on getting use to going in the car and travelling to the vets. Sam will need direct access to a private fully enclosed garden.

Sam is looking for a very calm home with owners that will not get him too over excited or play with him inappropriately as this could lead to him becoming very over the top and boisterous.

Sam will need someone based at home to help with his training requirements and will need a very gradual build up to being left. Sam would benefit from attending training classes. Sam may need a refresher in housetraining and will need some work with getting use to the car again.

Sam is looking for a special home so if you do meet the above criteria then please fill in an application form.
