About me
🐾 Meet Ronnie: Your New Best Friend & Professional Cuddler!
Personality: Super fun, energetic, and incredibly affectionate
Favorite Things: A game of fetch, playing with toys, and claiming your lap for a good cuddle session.
Ronnie is a sweet, vibrant 3-year-old boy who found his way to us after being abandoned. Despite a rocky start, his resilient spirit shines through the moment you meet him. He is the perfect blend of typical Jack Russell energy and absolute mush—one minute he’s happily chasing a ball, and the next, he’s curled up on your lap acting like a oversized lapdog.
🏡 Ideal Home Environment
Because Ronnie was abandoned, he has developed some separation anxiety. He really struggles being left on his own right now. For this reason he will need someone who is at home during the day and then will need a very slow build up to being left. This may take some time, so his new family will need to be patient and ideally he will need a home with more than one person living in the home.
Activity Level: A home with an active lifestyle who can give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
Ronnie will also need his own private and secure garden where he is able to enjoy offlead play. He will need a refresher in house training and car travel. Ronnie can live with secondary school age children.
🐕 On-Lead Manners & Dog Socialising
Ronnie is a great boy who is just working through a few typical terrier quirks:
On the Lead: Ronnie gets a bit too excited and can pull and bark at other dogs on his walks, we think this is due to being on the lead when he sees other dogs and is causing him frustration.
Off the Lead: When he's free to roam, it's a completely different story! Ronnie has been generally quite friendly with other dogs off-lead at the centre and has lovely manners.
Training Needs: A dedicated owner who can use positive reinforcement to guide his on-lead focus and help him manage his excitement will see him thrive. He will also need owners that will let him play with other dogs and not be worried by his on lead reactions. At this point Ronnie is looking at being the only dog in the household.
Ronnie will need an experienced owner, who ideally has experience of socialising dogs before.
Ronnie has so much love to give. He is looking for a patient, understanding owner who can look past his lead frustration and see the incredibly loyal, fun-loving, and affectionate companion underneath.
If you have the time, love, and a lap big enough for a Jack Russell cross, Ronnie is ready to fill your life with endless joy and fetch sessions!
